Jatropha Plantation Costs
(2 to 3 months planning and financing an additional 9 to 11 months for completion)

Jatropha is a plant that requires very little water. The oil content in the seeds is 30%. There are several species of jatropha that are native to the Southwestern US and Mexico. One acre, after 3 to 5 years, generates an average of 300 gallons of jatropha oil per year. Longevity of the jatropha plant is 30 to 50 years.
